Fondation
Aubin Thomine-Desmazures founded ASTEO in 2008 in Paris after a decade working on a trading floor and gaining initial experience in wealth management. His goal was to bring his market expertise and disciplined approach to wealth management with a focus on independence and transparency.
Expansion
In 2014, while maintaining its activities in France, ASTEO expanded to Luxembourg. Today, five of ASTEO’s seven employees are based in Luxembourg.
Reinforcement
In 2024, Pierre Thomine-Desmazures joined his cousin Aubin after more than 15 years of professional experience in consulting and asset management to support ASTEO’s growth.

Services
Requires multidisciplinary expertise and coordination among various advisors. ASTEO acts as a project manager, selecting the right advisors and ensuring effective collaboration between all stakeholders to deliver the most relevant customized solutions. This structuring may be preceded by an audit of past wealth management practices.
ASTEO's core expertise. Our approach revolves around strategic asset allocation, balancing listed and unlisted asset classes based on objectives, desired liquidity, and risk appetite. For each asset class, ASTEO selects the managers or solutions best positioned to maximize the probability of achieving the desired objectives. This strategic allocation is complemented by tactical investments, taking advantage of market opportunities across traditional and alternative asset classes.
Serves as the foundation for discussions with our clients, providing a precise and transparent view of portfolio performance and intermediary fees.
Team
Aubin has led ASTEO since founding it in 2008 after an initial wealth management experience (2002-2008). Previously, he worked for ten years abroad at Société Générale (Japan, France), NatWest (UK), and Lehman Brothers (UK), first as a risk manager (Market-Maker in FX derivatives) and then as a salesperson for equity, fixed income, FX, and credit derivatives for institutional clients. Aubin graduated as an engineer from Mines de Paris.
He spent ten years at AXA Investment Managers in the Strategy & M&A department in Paris, then in alternative credit research within the structured finance division in Paris and London. He later worked as a portfolio manager in the Prime division, focusing on primary, secondary, and co-investment activities in private debt, private equity, and infrastructure. Pierre began his career in audit and consulting at Mazars (2007-2011) and Accuracy (2011-2014) in Paris. He holds a degree from Université Paris Dauphine (Master in Accounting and Financial Techniques, Master 2 in Finance).

mdc@asteoluxembourg.luMike joined ASTEO in 2015 after working for a year and a half at Edmond de Rothschild Group. He holds a Master 2 in Banking & Finance from Université Paris 5 René Descartes and a Master 1 in Finance from Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas.
Fabrice joined ASTEO in 2016 after gaining initial trading experience at Enovos SA. He holds a Master 2 in Market Finance and Risk Analysis from Université de Montpellier.
Morgane joined ASTEO in 2018 after initial experience as a wealth management engineer at a financial advisory firm. She holds a Master 2 in Wealth Engineering from the École Supérieure d’Assurances de Paris.
Grégoire joined ASTEO in 2022 after several experiences, including as a financial auditor at EY Luxembourg & PwC France and an operational risk analyst. He graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management in 2021.
Anne-Odile joined ASTEO in 2025 after several years with the Crédit Agricole group and then at Paris Dauphine PSL University. She holds a degree from Paris Dauphine University (MSG Finance and Management Control).
